View of the Sandia Mountains Rio Rancho, with an estimated population of over 70,000, is recognized for its affordable housing, excellent public schools, home to Intel's largest semiconductor manufacturing facility, beautiful landscape and Northern New Mexico scenery.

The Village of Corrales, which is adjacent to the eastern edge of Rio Rancho, enjoys a more rural feel with abundant agricultural and river properties.

Placitas is a picturesque bedroom community in the Sandia foothills, in Sandoval County just north of Albuquerque.

The Town of Bernalillo and Algodones are north of Rio Rancho, straddling the Rio Grande River and stretching north along the I-25 corridor toward Santa Fe. These areas also enjoy a more rural setting with agricultural and river properties.

As part of the Albuquerque Metro Area, Rio Rancho, Placitas and Corrales share all of the wonderful cultural, recreational and educational opportunities of Albuquerque. Recently ranked #1 on HousingPredictor's "Top 25 Real Estate Markets", #1 on Forbe's list of "Best Places for Business and Careers" and third on Kiplinger's "50 Smart Places to Live", these areas retain their wide-open feel, low-to-no pollution, little traffic congestion and pleasant year-round climate, with all that New Mexico has to offer.

Rio Rancho is Top Real Estate Market - 2007
Forbes lists Albuquerque/Rio Rancho in `Top 10' for real estate, Friday, December 22, 2006. Albuquerque's placement on the latest national list comes courtesy of the metro area's resilient real estate market. The Duke City ranked third nationally on a list published Thursday by Fortune magazine listing the "top 10 places to own real estate". The Fortune report, with analysis provided by Moody's economy.com and real estate valuation company Fiserv Lending Solutions, highlights the top markets where real estate values are expected to rise in 2007 and 2008. Albuquerque, with a median home price of $179,620, is expected to see home values increase by 5.9 percent in 2007, according to the report on Fortune's Web site. Albuquerque was ranked first among cities in the western United States.
